Joe The Carver started his career working with wood in 1961 at Fairmont State College...Joe's interests are in The Shaker Tradition of hand crafted designs that are functional and simplistic. His carvings reflect his passion for the outdoors and the natural beauty of wood. As an artist, Joe describes his carvings as being impressionistic. And, he strives to capture his image of the subject and depict his personal integrations and creativity in each and every carving.
